Top experts confirm participation on the 12th Annual ESIL conference

The European Society of International Law and the organizers of the 12th Annual conference, the Riga Graduate School of Law and the Latvian Constitutional Court, are delighted to introduce the speakers for the 12th Annual conference in Riga (Latvia).

Among them are judges from international courts as well as top experts on issues related to crisis and the debate will focus on such themes as refugee law, global governance, European Union law, and enforcement of international law. The conference begins with an opening panel featuring Judge James Crawford (ICJ), Professor Lauri Malksoo (Tartu) and Professor Catherine Redgwell (Oxford) and chaired by Professor Anne Van Aaken (University of St. Gallen). The 12th Annual Conference of the European Society of International Law will take place in Riga, Latvia, on 8 - 10 September 2016. The Conference is hosted by Riga Graduate School of Law in cooperation with Latvian Constitutional Court, Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia. Some 300 European and international researchers, lawyers, judges and other experts will discuss questions related to the topic: How International Law Works in Times of Crisis.
