Ganna Yudkivska is a Judge of the European Court of Human Rights since 2010 and Vice-President of Section V.
Judge Yudkivska was born in 1973 in Kyiv, Ukraine. She graduated from the Law Department of Kyiv National University as well as Robert Schumann University of Strasbourg (Law and European studies), Doctor of Philosophy in Law.
For more than fifteen years she served as an expert and legal adviser for different human rights organizations.
Ganna Yudkivska was a Defense Attorney and member of the Bar of Ukraine.
She also worked as an Advisor to the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe and as a lawyer at the Registry of the European Court of Human Rights.
Judge Yudkivska is an Associate Professor at the Academy of Advocacy of Ukraine. She is a lecturer in human rights law, teaching in Ukraine, Europe and USA, and author of a number of scientific articles on human rights, criminal procedure and international law.
